Polymer Additive
For more than a decade, Excel Industries Limited has collaborated with global polymer majors, providing them with high-quality polymer additives and chemical technology expertise. Today, this synergy, expertise, and experience come together under Excel’s Polymer Additive Business division.
Excel’s Polymer Additive division offers a range of inputs such as polymer property enhancers, including additives and specialty monomers. Our products are manufactured to international quality standards and comply with the latest global environmental regulations while extending the applications, safety, and lifespan of a wide range of polymers.
As part of our mission to nurture existing long-term relationships and establish new ones, we have developed a unique concept of Alliance Manufacturing. Through this program, we partner with customers to develop processes and products that create synergies between their product and application expertise and our process development and manufacturing capabilities, driving solutions for the polymer industry.
As we continue to expand, we remain committed to exploring new businesses in different geographies and applications while nurturing the technology-led ethos and customer focus that has always been the hallmark of Excel.
THPE
Excel manufactures 1,1,1,tris (4-hydroxyphenyl) ethane (THPE). This molecule is used as cross linking or branching agent for polymers like Polycarbonates, Epoxy, Polyesters and similar systems where an -OH functional reactant is used. Given its tri functionality, it finds applications in hyperbranched systems suitable for adhesive and coating applications. Additionally unique properties like low viscosity, high thermal resistance make this an ideal candidate for demanding applications. THPE, yields polymers with a wide range starting from soft materials to hard highly crosslinked materials.
DMBPC
Excel manufactures 1,1,bis(4-hydroxy-3-methyl phenyl) cyclohexane, commonly known as DMBPC. This molecule is used as anti-scratch agent for polycarbonate. The use of DMBPC as a monomer obviates the need for application of scratch resistent top coats or precoats making the process more user friendly and the products more competitive. Given its –OH functionality, it also serves as an ideal candidate for polyesters and epoxy resins. Given its aromatic character and rigid cyclic structure, DMBPC provides high moisture barrier and thermal resistance.
PEEB
Excel Manufactures p-ethoxy ethyl benzoate, commonly known as PEEB finds application as an important component in the catalyst system for the production of Polypropylene. It is used as inside electron donor in conjunction with a solid particulate catalyst precursor Triethylaluminium as co-catalyst and an outside electron donor. Primary purpose of PEEB in the catalyst system is to function as the selectivity control agent.

Lorem Ipsum is simply dummy text of the printing and typesetting industry. Lorem Ipsum has been the industry’s standard dummy text ever since the 1500s, when an unknown printer took a galley of type and scrambled it to make a type specimen book. It has survived not only five centuries, but also the leap into electronic typesetting, remaining essentially unchanged. It was popularised in the 1960s with the release of Letraset sheets containing Lorem Ipsum passages, and more recently with desktop publishing software like Aldus PageMaker including versions of Lorem Ipsum.
